This Wedding featured in The Irish Times as their “alternative” to The Royal Wedding. We first met the Couple and the Bride’s family when they were planning a Marquee Wedding. In our discussions with them they then considered using some of their outsheds or even building a new Barn on the Family Farm as a potential Wedding Venue. The final result was a fantastic transformation of an existing Outhouse for the Drinks reception with the Marquee for the Dinner and Dancing attached to the Shed and a Bar created within the exisiting structure. The Outhouse needed a lot of work internally and the Family worked tirelessly over the Winter to ensure that it could be transformed for the Wedding. We advised on the basics of what needed to be done and the Family really worked hard to produce such an outstanding Venue.

The Pavilion Team dressed the Venue with carpeting, starcloth and effective lighting. Likewise the Bar was designed with the use of Tack Off linings. The Marquee was simple and yet totally in keeping in its design with the “all black” dance floor being a striking feature. What made this Wedding different was the complete “can do” attitude that ensured that all the little details such as a friend painting Cows on the outhouses and the use of the Groom JP’s Company’s artifical grass gave the Wedding a real sense of Community. The Irish Times article summed up the Wedding perfectly.
